Stakeholder Engagement and Social Facilitation Foundations Masterclass
Main overview
Turn stakeholder relationships into a strategy you can act on.
Good projects and organisations still fail when they neglect the people they depend on. In South Africa, infrastructure and development are social processes before they are technical ones. This three-module online Masterclass from the Institute of Stakeholder Relations (ISR), in partnership with the Association of Social Engagement Facilitators of Southern Africa (ASEFSA), gives you the tools to engage stakeholders with confidence, whether you work in a corporate, a government department, a community organisation or your own SMME.
Who it is for
Managers and practitioners in sustainability, communications, CSI, regulatory and project delivery, plus consultants, SMME owners and career-changers. No prior experience is needed.
What you will learn
- Module 1: Strategy and planning. Map and prioritise your stakeholders, understand their attitudes and concerns, and turn corporate objectives into a practical engagement plan with clear messages, channels, owners and timelines.
- Module 2: Social engagement facilitation. Learn to manage conflict, run productive dialogue and build social cohesion, presented by ASEFSA. You will see why facilitation prevents disruption and builds community trust.
- Module 3: Government, parliamentary and regulatory relations. Learn who drives policy and legislation, how laws are made, and how to advocate constructively. You will also learn to approach regulatory compliance through a stakeholder lens.
What you take away
- Ready-to-use analysis and planning templates
- A stakeholder engagement model and a 12-month roadmap for your own organisation
- An ISR/ASEFSA Stakeholder Engagement and Social Facilitation Foundations Masterclass certificate and ISR/ASEFSA FM badge
This masterclass is delivered by a faculty of premier strategists, grassroots facilitators, former presidential communications leads, global lobbyists, and top legal experts.
